However, for the past 11 years, starting from 1996, many of Nepals citizens have been caught up in an ongoing conflict (currently suspended thanks to a peace agreement signed November 21th, 2006) that has resulted in 13,000 deaths, thousands of injured, and a hundred thousand displaced.
